HTML and CSS
Analyzer and Minifier

Check a page's HTML and CSS for errors and speed problems, see how much of its CSS the page never uses, and get safely minified or readable versions with real compressed sizes.

We fetch the page and every stylesheet it loads. Then you see the HTML report, the CSS report, and how much of the CSS this page actually uses.

or paste / upload code

Pasted and uploaded code is processed in your browser and never sent to us.

Smaller, cleaner code, and what's actually slowing the page down

Minifying removes what browsers don't need (comments, extra spaces, long color codes) so files download faster. But on most sites, the bigger wins are elsewhere: CSS the page never uses, scripts that block the first paint and images without dimensions that make the page jump. This tool shows both, in plain words.

HTML report

  • Tags that aren't closed properly (with line numbers), duplicate IDs, and a missing doctype, language, character set, viewport or title.
  • Speed problems: render-blocking scripts in the head, a lazy-loaded top image, images without width and height (which cause layout shift), too many elements and heavy inline styles and scripts.
  • A safely minified version, with comments and spacing removed without touching <pre>, text areas, scripts or the spaces between words, plus a readable "beautified" version.

CSS report

  • Unused CSS on the page: fetch a page and see, for each stylesheet, how many rules match nothing on it.
  • Mistakes and upkeep problems: unbalanced braces, @import chains, fonts without font-display, piles of !important, duplicate selectors and properties, and old vendor prefixes.
  • Minified and beautified versions with real compressed (gzip) sizes, so you see the saving visitors actually get.

How to use this tool

  1. 1
Fetch a page or paste code

Fetching reads the page and every stylesheet it loads. Pasted and uploaded code stays in your browser.

  2. 2
Read the HTML and CSS reports

Switch between the two tabs. Each point says what it is, why it matters and how to fix it.

  3. 3
    Check unused CSS

The stylesheet table shows how much of each file the page actually uses. On many themes, it's the biggest speed win.

  4. 4
    Copy the minified code

Or download it. Test the page after replacing the original, and keep a copy.

Frequently asked questions

Is minifying safe?

This minifier only removes things browsers ignore and leaves scripts, strings and spacing in calc() untouched. Still, test the page after replacing a file, and keep the original.

Should I minify by hand?

On WordPress, a caching plugin (LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, Autoptimize) can minify automatically. Use this tool to check the result and find what else slows the page.

Can I delete all the "unused" CSS?

No. Rules can be used on other pages, in menus that open on a click or by content added with JavaScript. Remove what you're sure about, or use per-page "remove unused CSS" features.

Does it minify JavaScript?

Not yet. Minifying JavaScript safely needs a full parser, so use your build tool or caching plugin for that.

Is it free?

Yes.
