- Any page, or pasted HTML
Paste the HTML instead
Ctrl+U (or Cmd+U on Mac). Select all (Ctrl+A), copy (Ctrl+C) and paste below. Or right-click the page and choose View Page Source.
Paste the full HTML of the page you want to audit. The more complete the HTML, the more accurate the results.
Checks the server answer and redirects, robots rules, titles, headings, canonical, schema, images, speed and AI crawler access.
For the best results
- Check one page of each template: home, a service page, a location page, a blog post. Most problems are template-wide.
- Use the URL when the page is live. It also reads robots.txt, the sitemap, redirects and AI crawler access.
- Paste the HTML for staging pages or pages behind a login.
- Fix the critical items first, then run the page again. In the free app every report is saved, so you can compare before and after.
Mistakes to avoid
- Treating the score as a Google metric. It's a guide to what to fix first.
- Fixing warnings on a low-value page before the critical items on your money pages.

What the SEO Health Dashboard checks
The SEO Health Dashboard runs more than 40 checks on a single page and turns them into a score out of 100 and a list of fixes in priority order. Enter a URL and it reads the page the way a search engine does (the HTML your server sends, the HTTP status, redirects, robots.txt and the sitemap), or paste the page's HTML to check something that isn't live yet.
Six areas, one score
- Technical SEO: status code, redirects, canonical tag, robots meta, HTTPS, mobile viewport, language and character set.
- On-page SEO: title length (in pixels, the way Google cuts it off), meta description, one clear H1, heading order and image alt text.
- Content quality: word count, readability, thin sections and whether the page answers a question clearly enough to be quoted.
- AI search and schema: structured data on the page, FAQ and how-to patterns, and brand details that help AI assistants understand who you are.
- Social and links: Open Graph and X cards, internal and external links, and links without text.
- Server and crawl access: when you check by URL, robots.txt rules for Googlebot and 13 AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others), the sitemap, llms.txt and, with a PageSpeed key, Core Web Vitals.
Why a page-level check matters
Most ranking problems are page problems: a missing canonical on a filtered URL, a template that outputs two H1s, a robots rule that quietly blocks an AI crawler. A site crawler gives you thousands of rows. This dashboard shows what's wrong with the page in front of you and what to fix first. Use it before publishing a page, after a redesign or when one page drops while the rest of the site holds steady.
Results are ranked by impact, so the first 3 items are usually worth more than the next 20. Each item says what was found, why it matters and how to fix it.
How to use this tool
- 1Enter a URL or paste HTML
Checking by URL also reads robots.txt, the sitemap, redirects and AI crawler access. Pasting HTML is useful for staging pages or pages behind a login.
- 2Read the overall score
The score weights each area by how much it affects rankings and AI visibility. Open any area to see every check.
- 3Work through the priority list
Fix the critical items first. They usually affect a whole template, so fixing them improves every page built on it.
- 4Re-check after the fix
Run the page again to confirm. In the free app, every report is saved so you can compare before and after.
Frequently asked questions
Is the SEO Health Dashboard free?
Yes. Paste your HTML and you see a preview right away: your score and the top problems. The full report, with every check and your fix plan, is free when you sign in with your email. Without an account you get 3 checks a day; with the free account, 10 a day, by URL or pasted HTML. Speed checks (Core Web Vitals: how fast the page loads and responds) use a couple of your free monthly credits.
Does it check the whole site?
No, it checks one page in depth, on purpose. Most problems live in templates, so checking one page per template (home, service, article, product) finds most site-wide problems quickly.
Why do you check AI crawlers?
If robots.txt blocks crawlers like GPTBot or PerplexityBot, those assistants can't read your pages and are less likely to cite you. The dashboard shows which AI crawlers are allowed, so you can decide on purpose.
How is the score calculated?
Each check passes, warns or fails, and each area is weighted by its usual effect on rankings and AI visibility. The score is a guide to priorities, not a Google metric.
Can I save the report?
Yes. Open the tool in the free RR SEO Tools app and every report is saved to your account, on your phone or computer.
